I will dominate 'credible combatant' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight round contest which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.

Briton Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" the American and "break" the American as the two fighters confronted each other to publicize next month's boxing match.

Former two-time unified title holder Anthony Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive mismatch - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.

Fighter's Mentality

"I'm going to injure his face and break his body up. My goal is to show my superiority," Joshua, 35, stated.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I will really want to injure him. That's my intention."

Respectful Exchange

Despite those words, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Paul - typically famous for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul rather criticized ex Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian turned down a fight offer.

Targeting Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, criticized UK opponent Fury - and declined a large bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul is superior to Tyson Fury - he's present here," the boxer commented.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Fighter

Despite declaring he will damage his opponent, Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he said.

Jake Paul's History

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mainly fought MMA fighters or faded names since becoming pro.

He was defeated by Briton Fury in last year.

Commercial Attraction

Nevertheless, the novice is still one of the sport's greatest commercial attractions, frequently receiving huge paydays.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28-year-old predicted a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would stop the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently in the works for 2026.

"It will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul stated.

Physical Disparity

As Joshua and Paul engaged in the customary stare-down, with their height and weight contrast on show, it emphasized just how improbable this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the match is actually going ahead.
